Dr Bilal Aslam-Pervez is a dual-qualified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with degrees in dentistry (University of Glasgow) and medicine (University of Manchester) and an MSc in Implantology (University of Cardiff). He works in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, and his expertise includes complex implant cases, full-arch rehabilitation, sinus lifts and bone grafting.

Your implant journey

1. Consultation and scan

We start with a friendly conversation and a 3D CBCT scan to understand your jawbone, bite and goals.

2. A plan made for you

Dr Aslam-Pervez assesses your case personally and designs your treatment plan. If bone grafting or other preparation is needed, he'll explain everything clearly.

3. Implant surgery

The implant is placed with hospital-grade precision, usually under local anaesthetic or sedation.

4. Healing

Over the next few months the implant fuses with your jawbone to form a strong, long-term foundation.

5. Your new smile

Once healed, we fit your new tooth or teeth, colour-matched to look, feel and work just like your own, and see you for follow-ups to keep everything healthy.

Questions and answers

Does it hurt?

There's no pain during treatment, which is carried out under local anaesthetic. You may feel a little swollen and tender for a few days afterwards, but most patients recover quickly.

Am I suitable?

Most people with a healthy mouth and gums are. If you have decay or gum problems, we'll treat those first so your implant has the best start.

How long do implants last?

Because implants fuse with your jawbone, they can last many years, and often for life, if you look after them well.

How much do implants cost?
